BARBECUE SANDWICHES                                  JoAnn Wimmenauer

3 lb. beef, may use 11/2 lb.
   beef and 11/2 lb. pork
1 quart tomato juice
1/4 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp, salt
3 large diced onions
3 Tbsp, sugar
1 Tbsp, chili powder

Combine all ingredients. Simmer on low heat until meat is tender and
begins to shred. Separate meat with fork. Serve hot or cold on buns.

MONTE CRISTO SANDWICH                                      Betty Meyer

3 slices white bread
Mayonnaise
1 slice ham
1 slice Swiss cheese
1 slice turkey
Egg batter
Mustard sauce

Spread mayo on bread. Put ham and cheese on one slice, turkey on
second. Top with third. Dip sandwich completely in egg batter. Fry in
oil at 350 degrees until golden brown. Cut into quarters and serve with
mustard sauce.

BARBEQUED HAMBURGERS                                     Sherry Rumble

11/2 lb. lean hamburger
1/2 c. milk
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 medium onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce:
1 bottle (14oz.) Heinz Ketchup
2 Tbsp, vinegar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4-1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp, chopped green pepper
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp, chopped onion
